I am a nurse practitioner who specializes in women's health care. I see women across the lifespan, from adolescence through menopause, for both their gynecological and obstetric needs. I chose to pursue this field because I saw a need for more openness about the issues going on with women's bodies. I wanted to decrease the stigma surrounding women's health issues and create a trusting environment in my practice where patients felt safe to speak about their health care needs. I'm a Raleigh native who grew up in the Triangle. My uncle was a primary care provider in the Wake Forest area, and my father is a local dentist, so healthcare is in my blood. I treat patients aged 5 years and older, with a special interest in those with diabetes. I have many family members with diabetes, so it's a disease that is close to my heart. I believe in partnering with my patients to find the best solutions that fit their concerns. I'm here as a tool or resource for them, but they are ultimately in control of their own lives and healthcare needs.
